Yeah, man. This really sounds great. I'm digging the effects during the pre-chorus, and overall, I enjoyed every bit. The lyrics are fucking awesome, you really brought meaning into this song. Thanks for the vocals, man! :)

It's just a shame though, I only recorded one verse. I really should squeeze in another verse somewhere in the song, because your vocals on the first (and only) verse were pretty awesome. But yeah. awesome job on this! I approve. 5/5

Schleif responds:

my pleasure, glad you like it! keep rocking, fucker \m/

WOW. This really is a piece of art. The vocals flow real nice, the synth arpeggios are really nice, the bass around 2:00 is holy shit. Is that you playing bass, or god? This whole song is really nice, progressive jazzy rock. Even though I'm mainly a heavy metal musician, this song REALLY makes me want to start doing jazz. This whole song is just amazing. The bass, the rhythm guitar, lead guitar, solos, the drums. This song is like getting a natural high, without needing any intoxicant. That is a really interesting bridge at 4:18. I like how it suddenly gets heavy. i can definitely hear you have a bit of Djent influence in your music. It reminds me alot of The Contortionist, and Animals As Leaders. This is an interesting song for sure. Plenty of jazz, hard rock, alternative, progressive metal influence all rolled into one track. I really like it, this is honestly one of the best songs I've heard on Newgrounds. Sorry for this review being SOOOOOO damn long. I just am amazed by the amazingness of it. Have a 5. You deserve one for sure.

Kor-Rune responds:

That's actually a seven string guitar doing the arpeggios, much less impressive LOL. I'm glad you like jazz! Jazz has so much character in music, it's my favorite genre to listen to.

Thanks for the kind review! I appreciate the comments <:

Wow, man! Nostalgia just hit me! This was a really awesome cover. I remember first playing SSBM when I was 8. As much as I enjoyed brawl, I can honestly say, Melee kept me entertained longer. Great cover, dude! I really need to cover some video game music soon.

Good job with this! Even better than I expected! 5/5

Kogasu responds:

I've only played Brawl once so I can't compare but I really love the SSB series in general. I remember liking Melee because it had just so much more stuff to do in it. Anyways, thank you!

Listening as I type this review. I really like this. The longest song i've ever seen on Newgrounds, but I dig it though. I really like the chord changes, and the heaviness, the lead guitar is really nice as well. Drums went well with the whole track. I was wondering, is that bass a real bass or VST? It sounds very real to me. But yeah, I really enjoyed this song. Probably one of your best yet. Keep making more of these! 5/5 :D

Schleif responds:

really glad to hear that, my friend. the bass is sampled actually, i'm glad to hear it sounds alright! thanks for the kind words, more than appreciated!

Whoa man, just whoa. You really amazed me with this one. This was great!

I really enjoyed your riffs, they were very heavy, and full of groove. This really reminds me of a mix between Pantera and Lamb of God. Great song. The mixing and mastering was done very well too. I wish I could mix like that (Well, I do have an upcoming song with some of my best mixing yet, my most professional sounding, so, we'll see lol) Also, I really enjoyed the lead work. One of your best solos yet. I really hope this makes it in the NGADM 2012 (It should, I don't see how ANYONE could beat this) I know it sounds a bit assumptive, but this is just so great, i can't help it lol.

I enjoyed every second of it. I give it a 6/5 (Yes, 6/5, even though that's not possible, it still deserves a rating like that lol)

By the way, did you notice that All Things Reconsidered is your 100th submission?

Demon-Slayer12 responds:

Thanks a lot man! Pantera/Lamb of God combo, can't go wrong.. :P
There was a lot of work that went into this song. I used 3 DAWs to get the sound I wanted.
I used Acid Pro 7 to record the guitars and bass, Studio One to use Superior Drummer 2.0 (its the only program that could handle 2 gb worth of samples, on 4 gb ram.. XD)
Then, I rendered stereo tracks from Acid Pro of all the rough mixed parts and put them in Reaper for mastering. I used Izotope Ozone 5 vst to master everything, that's the magic for mastering. When you think you got a good mix, render each instrument to a stereo track (both rhythm guitars on one track) then open them up in your favorite DAW and use the Ozone 5 plugins. That'll help polish your sound big time. Now you know all my secrets haha, actually theres still a lot of work from there though, but that's up to your own ears.. :P

I didn't even notice that song was my 100th, haha, I would have made a big deal with it a few years ago, but meh, no one really cares (except you, and maybe a few others..XD) I'm glad it was a good tune for my 100th though haha

Glad you like the song, and I appreciate the support! Didn't think that was a great solo myself, I'm not the fanciest lead guitar player out there haha, but glad you liked it man! Keep headbangin'!

I really like it! I'm really digging the orchestra in the beginning, Then it turns into a very thrashy metal song.

Lol, I'm imagining a crazy music video for this song, a bunch of crazy ass pirates in monster trucks snatching innocent women off the street, and doing pirate drive by's. LOL!

Haha, I really liked the speech part at the end, funny! Good track, everything is mixed well. 5/5

Schleif responds:

thanks man! haha, pirate drive by! complete with cannons and flamethrowers! hahaha

This is very good, full of emotion, and it just has that dramatic movie scene feeling where something changes forever. Really good, I'll look forward to hearing the full song. For now, 5/5

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

The world shall be forever changed by some undetermined happening at some point in the possibly near or distant future!

This song shall be the anthem for that possible change that may or may not be dramatic and may or may not change something forever!

Wow, man, Good song! Kind of reminds me of The Sword and Pantera. Very fucking groovy, then it gets really fast and thrashy like Metallica, Megadeth, or Exodus. Really loving this! The solos are amazing, very melodic. I wish I could harmonize like that. (Well I could, but i'm pretty simple with my harmony lol) Just wondering, did you get the keyboard idea from me after reviewing my song Progressions? :P Of course it's no problem if you did, that shows that i'm sort of an influence, horray for me :D Also, the panning around 4:30 is really creative, and the solo that follows afterwards is awesome as well. This is my most specific review I've written so far. I hope i didn't bore you with it lol. Great song. Definitely deserves a 5/5!

Demon-Slayer12 responds:

Boring review? Hell no! Thanks a lot man, I prefer well thought out reviews rather than just simple praise or vice versa. As for the keyboard idea, I've been inspired by a lot of progressive metal bands lately, and the use of keyboard and synth has been flying around my head for a while, just needed to figure out how to utilize them :P But your song did kinda give me the inspiration to post a song with keyboards, so kudos haha. Glad you dig the tune, I tried to fuse just about every style I've learned into one song, and this was the result. Cheers man!

Wow, damn amazing, This reminds me so much of Pantera. I agree with what Demon-Slayer12 said. Are you sure you're not secretly Phil? Lol. really nice song, plenty of groove in it. 5/5

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Haha thanks very much man. Glad you dig it, more on the way. :)

YEAH! Extremely heavy, and agressive! Everything is awesome, and mixed perfectly. 5/5

Demon-Slayer12 responds:

Awesome man, thanks a lot!
